July 8th Workday

Hi SWV Members,
The July 8th workday is fast approaching. If you plan on participating, please sign up on the Upcoming Events page.
Here is the schedule:
July 7:
If you want to meet at the Crabtree TH on Tuesday night , I’ll have dinner prepared around 6. Let me know if you would like to eat.
July 8:
Meet at TH at 8 am
Bring Day pack, gloves, sunscreen, lunch, water, long pants and long sleeved shirt.
I will bring a shovel, loppers, feed bag for trash, ax and Long silky( in case there are small trees to remove from trail).
We’ll be hiking to Camp and Bear lakes cleaning and/ or removing fire rings too close to water, lopping white thorn and clearing small trees. There are some switchbacks at the junction that we’ll follow for about a half mile to lop away white thorn.
We’ll be back at the trail head no later than 4 pm.
Evan Duvane said that he’d have a ranger hike the route one more time
before we leave to update conditions of the trail.
The temps are expected to be in the low 80’s always with the chance of thunder showers in the afternoon.
