Greetings all… We have a trail clearing project scheduled for Friday/Saturday, Oct. 9/10. This will be trail clearing on the trail from Crabtree trailhead towards Chewing Gum Lake. All the work is outside of wilderness so this will be chainsaw work. We have 3 sawyers (certified) signed up. We are working with the USFS to secure some electric chainsaws (which should be lighter) as well as potential stock support to haul saws and tools. The details of the work project are posted on the website under Upcoming Events. You can sign up by going to www.swv1.org, click on Upcoming Events and navigate on the bottom tabs to Oct 9-10. You can add your name to the list if you’re able to join us.
Thanks in advance for your support of our wilderness resources. Regards,
