We encountered three folks from the trail angel group at Sonora Pass recently. I’ve added a link to their website on our LINKS page. If you check the website, you’ll see that they provide assistance to through PCT hikers. They were posting this small sign at the pass.

SWV is hosting two events: Saturday, September 2 and Saturday September 9. Saturday, September 2 is a Leave No Trace education event. SWV will staff a table outside of the Summit Ranger Station, 1 Pinecrest Road, Pinecrest CA from approximately 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Volunteers can sign up for either a half day or full day. We will be meeting visitors to describe the Leave No Trace principles. Depending on volume, we may also be assisting the Forest Service in writing wilderness permits.
